Canon MP160 E15 ERROR.......solution???

But is worth a try.

this is cool, just electroshock the cartdriges!!! Would it be the same with a short circuited 9 V battery?

My MP160 just says error E5 and I can't scan. I don't care for printing, but why do I have to have cartdriges to scan? It's crap, nobody buy canon printers anymore, please.

THIS IS THE SOLUTION.

How to reset the Canon MP150 (also worked with my MP140 so it might work with others as well) after a refill (Step 10 concerns refill; instructions below the steps):

Method1 (Safe Factory Method):

1) Disconnect the printer’s power outlet

2) Press and hold the power button while connecting the power outlet back.

3) While still .....

All this will do is destroy the electronics in the cartridge.
