Mary is a shining example of a person who was able to improve the quality of her life through work. Her diagnoses read like a medical journal: intellectual disability, anemia, hyperthyroidism, seizure disorder, Arthritis and traumatic brain injury, among others. None of these have stopped Mary from taking advantage of the opportunity to work at Goodwill and have a positive outlook on life. Mary continues to improve her skills as a worker -- and a parent. The most important role Mary plays is that of a mother and role model to her teenage daughter.
