  • its actually D blues and not major

  • I'm with James 081294 on this. You played the D scale. If you are playing alone or with another Bflat instrument you call it as you see it: that's a D scale.

Now if the piano player says "we're gonna play a Blues in C" then you get ready to play a D scale. But generally you don't read D and call it a C.

Thanks for the video though, nice sound.

  • Is there a place to get the major trumpet scales?

  • This scale is called a Dminor Pentatonic (Blues) Scale.

  • great - thanks - dont care what it called you know have me playing the blues in the living room and annoying the hell out the neighbours

  • it's concert C major jazz. That's what he's referring too, stop criticizing him.

  • lool free scales. keep em coming ~

  • D MINOR, NOT C MAJOR

  • minor blues, not major. It's based off of the minor scale (flat 3rd and 7th, and minor also has flat 6th but not blues)
