Latin America's Economic Imperative
Driven by macroeconomic stability and strong commodity prices, Latin America experienced GDP growth of over 5% per annum during the past years and has reduced poverty rates by almost 10% on average.
How can the region ensure that the economic and social progress achieved so far during this decade is not undermined by a deep global economic recession?
Felipe Calderón, President of Mexico
José Miguel Insulza, Secretary-General, Organization of American States (OAS), Washington DC
Alvaro Uribe Velez, President of Colombia
Chaired by
Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de Leon, Director, Yale Center for the Study of Globalization, Yale University, USA; Member of the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum; Chair, Global Agenda Council on the Global Trade Regime
I believe it is very important to say that these people are very important people that studied or teached in US/UK universities. Zedillo (Yale), Calderon (Harvard), Uribe (Harvard & Oxford) and Insulza (Michigan). I think they speak very good english wich a proper accent, just because they mother thongue is SPANISH not English. I remeber the Queen Elizabeth speaking french with a terrible accent or George W. Bush with horrible accent, but it is Ok because ther speak english as first language.

@ojanhye25 the simple fact that Mr Zedillo don't have a good pronunciation doesn't mean that he hasn't the capability to be a good teacher
