This video is an informative look at the factors that are causing our current financial and economic crisis. It discusses policy changes 13 years ago that unleashed the sub-prime mortgage-backed securities market, which accelerated prices erratically, inviting speculation and loose lending practices which were both condoned and encouraged by existing regulation and carried out by risk-blind executives and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

The tail wags the dog, not the other way around in FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM.
Bankers rule the economy. No president does anything other than what his banker masters tell him to do. The last president that tried JFK, got his head blown off.
LIARS LOANS were made, where the bankers were forcing the taxpayers to pay to ship all their jobs to Communist China.
They BANKERS //knew// everybody was going to be unemployed, but made the liars loans to them anyway.

Volume of subprime and nontraditional lending (ARM loans) from the top 25 nonprime lenders originated $105 billion in 2000.
Then after bush’s home ownership society in 2002 (go to youtube, search HOMEOWNERSHIP AND PRESIDENT BUSH)
it rose to $188 billion in 2002.
Bush sign's the American dream downpayment act.
$310 billion in 2003.
Jan. 04 the OCC trumps states rights and lets predatory mortgage lending explode.
$730 billion in 2004.
$1 trillion in 2005.

@ There is nothing hard about seeing the waste, we find it and we fix it (9 billion saved in medicare fraud past two years), but do repubs. really want to fix it, no, they want to shrink govt. so its small enough to flush down a toilet. Supply side economics and republican rule has made our govt. even more corrupt,bigger and more wasteful. The repubs got power on saying how bad govt is and it became a self fullfilling prophecy. People play the system, and they eventually get caught.

@lmdslam What is so hard about seeing Gov waste $on a constant basis, see failed program after failed prog, from D's &/or R's,$ handed over to Solyndra (campaign donor) showg true bus. Naivte' while knowg they had problems, etc. $ to dead people, prisoners, illegals,digging into social security for other things, etc.. etc.. and not realize that GOV IS THE PROBLEM? Protection? OK; Construction? OK.. Anything else is allowing a rogue group of inept humans piss $ away, yet people want more via libs

@freesociety88 The middleclass would not exist if there was no govt. involvement. The problem is when repubs. run govt. they sabotage govt. to fail to prove their philosophy of govt. is right, which makes our govt. get bigger and even more involved. Bush pushing fannie and freddie to the edge was sabotage. The short term gain would be great for his unemployment numbers but in the long run it was gonna crash and it did, fann and fred get the blame instead of bush and wall st. Genius.
