Neal Doty, organist, and Alan Gratzer, drummer, started this group, from what I understand, but they never seemed like "leaders" of this band. Also, they went through several lead guitarists before they settled on Gary
@lespaulstrata This is truly outstanding. But, you have to remember that with every magical moment in time it is the era, the place, the attitude, the chemistry, the support. So many things are in play. I love capturing bands when everything is clicking.
everything about this clip sums up the brilliant talent of some of the 70's formative rock groups. what a great sound from 5 guys, live on a tv show. outstanding. make sure you all watch the rest of the session clips. i realyy dig the point in this track where they slow it down and do a simple riff of bass and keyboard - genius.
kevin was a better singer but the rawness of the rock is nice

@coolhandluke621 Add GFR to that list until Mark, Don, and Mel are all on the same stage again!

Cronin may have had the range, but Luttrell had the soul and that makes a much better singer.

REO presently SUCKS! I haven't seen them since Gary left. I refuse to see them or Styx.

Terry sounds like he should be in Earth, Wind & Fire. Sounds like a soul man.
