the problem of global warming and it is obviously necessary to plant as much as possible trees. can not you plant trees, we are already doing it for you.

WUWT (Anthony Watts Blog) has looked at hundreds of stations and only a few meet NOAA's own rules. It is very very sad.

Would be interesting to parse the data set by removing data from obviously "contaminated" sites such as these.

Shouldn't every single weather station report higher temps? I wonder if they do?

The AGW crowd lost me when they jumped into bed with politicians. Or was it the other way around? Doesn't matter; either way, the science is now wholly tainted and I refuse to believe a word of it. I don't doubt that it started out as legitimate science, but those days are gone. AGW is now a political football. Period. Credulity is off the table for me. If they want it back, they'll have to renounce all political ties and, most importantly, funds.
