"A barefoot boy with shoes on stood a-sitting in the grass"

A crazy little ditty from Harry "MAC" McClintock, recorded in 1928. Enjoy!

  • I had a hard time finding this song. I heard it on the Dr. Demento show back in '78. I didn't know it was from the 1920's.

  • my grandfather used to sing this song to me, replacing the course with "Be Kind to Your Web Footed Friends"

  • I like the way my Dad sang them better! :)

  • My dad use to sing this to me growing up and when he pasted we put "Ain't We Crazy" on his memorial. I had never heard the song off a record. This was really neat to find. Thank you!
