You need to give the traction control more time to do its magic!
Also did you have the centre diff locked?
If its not locked and you have no t/c you have a one wheel drive Land rover.
Its not much of a challenge for a Land rover defender!

What tyres do you have on the Landy? I had similar problems with my Bridgestone Dueler tyres, they were terrible in the snow and ice, so I changed them to General Grabber AT2 and now have no problems.

also put a bit off brakes on to slow spining wheel down so drive goes to other wheel

try bfgoodrich mud terrains mine pisses on anything thrown at it with them on

Hmmmm something wrong there then if one of those got stuck !!! Mine never get stuck in snow!
