Day two in south Africa advanced decoying Egyptian geese off of there flight line into a sunflower stubble field.
I have done my reconnaissance and we have a 15 mile an hour wind which moved the flight line over by about 600m from the day before, so we hoped we would be in the right positing on this morning, but with fields the size of this one, once one skanne of geese move of there flight line the next ones will follow unless the flight line to this field has been used for some time before it is shot,
Just as a matter of interest to you prospective shooter out there geese are one of the only birds that can count.
example: If you have a pit blind hide and they see two people enter the hide from there roost perhaps a need by lake and then one person leaves, Geese know that one person is still there and won't decoy in to you pattern of decoys,
there are exceptions to the rule, example: dependant on how hungry they are is one. This is why we set up in the darkness of early morning.
