I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina: This is to all denominations: If Luke 1:46-55 is your Scripture for the Day, this is a good hymn to compliment it, along with Of the Father's Love Begotten and The Bells of Christmas.

@mikehattan how superior of you
-
@alexRawrx Agreed. I gave up on Christmas seventeen years ago for various reasons but I still love to hear this carol. This, and "I Believe in Father Christmas" by Greg Lake are now the only Christmas songs I can bear to listen to. Have a peaceful New Year.

Echt, zu weihnachten steh ich voll auf sowas. Das ist so schön, ich weiß nicht ob ich weinen oder kotzen möchte.... kein Witz. Sowas geht mir voll nah.
Bin allerdings bekennender Atheist. Also bin ich wohl nur von der rituellen Show überwältigt.

Everytime I watch or participate in such a service, it reminds me why I became Anglican. What a "joyful noise unto the Lord."

I'm doing the solo today. D:
This is what I look forward to most about Christmas each year. Watching this with a mince pie and hot chocolate just makes Christmas for me. It's so beautiul, makes me cry with joy every year. :)

I'm not overly religious by any means, but I honestly think there should be more emphasis on this sort of thing at Christmas. People get too wrapped up in getting the latest xbox or whatnot.
