The best explanation compressed in a short video so far, people should pay more attention to the fact that during the time when we cant see the moon, is the time when the moon is 'showing' its far side.

some comments here are misleading to schoolchildren... the moon DOES rotate... however, it rotates much slower than the earth... the result is that we on earth can only see one side of the moon... earth rotates every 24 hours... the moon rotates every 29.5 days... which is the same as it's orbit around earth (29.5 days)... a gravitational lock... synchronicity...

Umm... Why is the Moon rotating so fast that the far side is showing? Isn't it supposed to be locked so that only one side can be seen?
