What media is in your aqua clear filter? Do you use a protein skimmer???

Yes I use a protein skimmer. I also do two water changes a week. In my filter I just run chemipure elite right now

Great job with your 25 gallon! I'm a freshwater guy trying to get into the saltwater side ;-) I own a 55 gallon tank with a built in wet/dry filtration system! But it's been empty for the past 5 years lol...do you have any pointers? Or even any books you recommend to read?
