  • I appreciate your concerns regarding the Hot Toddies Car Seat cover. I would like to provide for you the direct contact info for this company. The owner is Lori Johnson and her contact info can be found on her website hottoddiesbabygear (dot) com. I feel it would be best for you to speak with her directly with your concerns as she would able to address your concerns more concretely. Thank you for talking the time to view my video.

    Sincerely, Heather

  • ." I think it is great to be concerned with safety, I hope this helps answer some of your concerns. Sincerely, Heather

  • The cover is less than 1 mm thick (thinner than a light sweater) & does not have thick padding, etc. It simply goes right over the manufacturers cover. It makes sense a car seat manufacturer would only "guarantee the product with their accessories" financially & legally."

  • Your carseat covers are very cute, but you should never use a carseat cover that doesn't come from your carseat manufacturer. This voids your warranty on your carseat. It could also be dangerous because it is not flame resistant and doesn't have important information from the carseat manufacturer.

  • The owner of Hot Toddies says "This cover is guaranteed not interfere with the department of transportation safety regulations. Legally car seat manufacturers cannot guarantee their equipment with any after market accessories; the JJ Cole Bundle me, head rests, shoulder straps, or even a thick sweater/jacket. . .

  • Do you seriously believe that a thin protective cover that does nothing more than slip over the original manufacturers' cover is going to cause a car seat to fail? Really??? Do you Really believe that?? Wow...Barnum & Bailey were spot-on right!

  • Lighten up Ticia1. I am always going to be concerned with my niece's safety when she is born, and I bought her a seat cover. it's the same thickness as the original cover. it's not going to affect it! Quit bein such a sourpuss!

  • (Cont...)

"Legally car seat manufactureres cannot guarantee "it, because it could cause the car seat to *fail* in a crash. Do you really want to be responsible for someone having an unsafe aftermarket product on the most important piece of safety equipment their child will ever use? Please consider telling the "winner" not to use this product.

  • It won't interfere with the regulations? That's because there is *no* testing on after market products. They could throw it against a wall and say it meets the "safety regulations..."
