Back handspring tutorial by Phyman Dang of MFH

Things to keep in mind:
-arms close to your head, don't lock elbows, and don't bend them too much.
-Do not put your arms to wide apart.
-Lean Back and jump back, NOT up.
-DON'T arch your neck

Goodluck!

  • How the hell am i supposed to get over the fear of doing this move? This is like 7th tutorial I watched and it keeps saying the same thing!!! Jump backwards onto your hands and snap your legs down. Anyone can figure that out by himself.

  • @MrPredatorix If you can figure it out, then you don't need to watch it. You get over the fear by either going for it like I did or getting a spotter to be there to support you and make sure you won't land on your head

  • just wondering.

why are we not suppose to lock our elbows?

i always hear, " LOCK YOUR ELBOWS. KEEPS ARMS STRAIGHT"

  • you'll hyper extend them

  • hey u responded lol. I didnt comment out of mean intentions. I noe u can double back, im just saying as far as this vid its not much rebound. I dont mean u dont get rebound in the sense of no jumping ability Just personal preferences i like floaty moves like your flashkicks . I respect u alot Phy, your tutorials helped me alot. It was just something i noticed so i commented. Trust me, i cant compete with u yet by any means. Still happy u commented back. =] LOL

  • LOL haha thanks. i was just dicking around being sarcastic

  • ttrrryin to be xin are we?

  • i wonder if my brocolilly can fit in his hair..

  • @Kenjige3 Not at all. Back flexibility helps, but there are no real pre-reqs.

  • Do you have to be able to back bend?

  • How come, whenever I do my backhandsprings, I always colaps?

  • is it easier to do a back handspring with a round off or standing?

  • @kafooxD you could pop a joint. have them stiff, but not locked.
