While this is totally different than ocean surfing, it is certainly surfing and there is no place like it in the world where you can work on your balance and turns as a beginner. I think of it as training for the ocean. But there are guys that surf here that can carve and bust 360s and aerials as if it were an ocean wave.

you can also surf in nürnberg (nuremberg) 2 hours north from münchen (munich)..
the wave is not that big and good but wer working on it.

believe it's a hybrid with the length of an egg but the shape of a long board. This one is probably just under 7.

In the end I decided to try and make one similar, check it out, I think I like it more than the one he's riding. Although I havent had chance to ride it yet.
