Battlefield 3 Limited Edition contará con la expansión Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand sin coste adicional. Esta expansión multijugador incluye 4 legendarios mapas de Battlefield 2 rediseñados con las físicas, la destrucción y los efectos visuales del motor Frostbite 2. El pack se completa con armas y vehículos clásicos de Battlefield 2, además de recompensas únicas, nuevos logros/trofeos y mucho más.

Battlefield 3 llegará en Otoño 2011 para PC, Xbox 360 y PS3.
