Nice video...Just an update. With 2.0 you can now do up to 12 cameras. It's also only $4.99 now.

Sadly many people do lack a basic knowledge about available data stream qualtities and quantities. Compression has its limits! A Iphone is designed as a toy, not as a surveilance monitor. Iphones are far to slow to be of use for surveilance video, not even Iphnoe killers (Android) can do that!

What camera did you use to record this video? xxxxx

Do you have to connect the camera to a computer? and the computer has to be on all the time? Thanks.
-
can it use other iphones cameras

You choose to have the feed stored on your phone instead of ur computer.
-
If the burglar steals your computer there is nothing you can do because that is where the video is stored?

Nope, it is 5.99. I think you may be thinking of the commercial grade one, I remember reading about that at one point, seems way overpriced if it is really $900!

how long will the app record for when it detects motion? also can you connect this to the ispy network so that anyone around the world can view your cams?

It actually records the video as screenshots. It doesn't have a preference that I can see that lets you modify the duration, but it does allow you to change the amount of space used for the recorded events. I would imagine if you just push it up to the max, there would be no shortage of recorded events. Thanks for watching!

There would be a small iCam logo in the menubar (on Mac OS) If using a built-in iSight, the green status indicator would remain on during operation. So, on a Mac it wouldn't really be a stealth op. I haven't used it within Windows, but I would imagine much of the same indicators would be lit.
