Tazer training is part of being a police officer. You don't have to be tazed, but in order to get a full understanding of the "justice" you are unloading on a subject, just do it. I was tazed for 5 seconds today with the X26 full force. I'm 24 and a police officer in my neighboring city. So i understand how it now feels and people will submit after 2 seconds trust me. It's a weapon yes but will save lives and people don't understand we are only here to help.

@WELLBRAN its not to your brain. one probe hits then the other at a lower angle. the charge will take the path of least resistance to its destination of completing a circuit, from one probe to the other. your also trained to aim below the heart when firing at the front and below the neck when firing from the back. there has also been studies on this, there are very low risks. most of the risk is falling on your face. stats can be found on taserdotcom

@ecsjal ive done both, the most recent was without the probes. in my opinion the probes hurt less than the clip because it doesnt have to jump spark to you its in you. i was able to do the 5 seconds with the probes but without i called stop on 3

Did not take the probes whatever. Probes is another experience.

50,000 volts for 5 secs going to your brain...think has anyone thought of the long term effects as the device is relatively new, no one has any stastistics in the long term

You keep saying this is a isolated incident then check in detail on how often police over react in a situation where they are not in harms way or other people are jeopardize by the victims being tasered !!!!The bottom line is, to many policemen use tasers and pepper spray without provocation. Maybe they should pay attention in their psychology classe on how to deescalate a situation by using psycology and common sense. Instead of over reacting!! plain and simple.

@fierywhale Before talking such nonesense , maybe you should check out the video "police overreact with taser gun. Then you can try to justify your argument for this type of behavior from these out of controll thugs who enjoy inflicting pain in suffering on an unarmed individual who complied with their demands and was still tasered and his elderly mother was pulled out of the vehicle thrown to the ground and pepper sprayed. If this is justice then no thank you !! I rest my case.

@user19191 You are so right, There are those who enjoy submitting pain & suffering to individuals to satisfiy their own perverted disregard for civil liberties. ie. where a gentelmen complied with the officers request , once he laid down in a prone position he was tasered, his elderly mother who was sitting on the passenger side of the vehicle was thrwon to the ground and pepper sprayed. So much for saving lives !!! Check out police overreact with taser. This says everything !!
