May shares another experiment that she did with essential oils. Thank you May again for submitting this information.

May wrote..... I mixed henna with lemon juice, left 12 hours for dye release then divided in 4 parts, one part I left with out essential oil, second part I mixed with cajeput EO, third part with cedar EO and fourth part I mixed with pine EO and left for another 12 hours dye release. From the previous experiment I sent, you know that lemon juice helps henna to achieve darker stain. EO I used for test are certified organic so no crazy chemicals in them. After dye release I did 4 test spots on the hand. Picture is taken aprox. 12 hours after paste removal.

Spots nr.:
1. henna + lemon juice = lightest
2. henna + lemon juice + cajeput EO = darkest
3. henna + lemon juice + cedar EO = second darkest
4. henna + lemon juice + pine EO = second second darkest, almost the same as with cedar EO

  • @iiMagin3 Hello. I think it would be best to ask the person who sold it to you if there is anything dangerous with this oil. I cant tell by a picture if there is anything harmful. Going forward you will want to buy therapeutic grade essential oils, and not aromatherapy grade.

  • nice video! but how much of cajeput oil did she use? how many drops..and how much lemon juice..thanks!

  • @mademoisellenikita Most henna artists do not measure ingredients when making paste, it is done by eye. The amount of lemon juice will depend on many factors including climate. The amount of essential oil will depend on how large or small the batch is. When I add oil, I know by the smell if I have too much oil, or not enough.

  • How does she get it sooooo red!!! I love it

  • @TheXianne I think #2 is the darkest as well.

  • for some reason i think the #2 is the darkest or maybe its just me ?!

  • How did you get them so dark on that side of your hand? I can never get them that dark, even when I wrap it in plastic and use my tea tree oil...

  • Hi I was just wondering which oil would leave the darkest stain tea tree or cajeput or is it roughly the same?

  • will i get the same darker maroon stain if i use lavendar oil instead of cajeput oil? or will there be any difference?
