I talk about some of the shortcomings i find with the iPad and other tablets. They do not do email, browse or produce better than say a laptop. So until i find a tablet that does what i want (explained in the vid) no tablet for me.

  • Hey Bit. This is the first time I have ever disagreed with you. I am considering making a video stating why. Funny that we both have reversed our roles. I liked the Macbook Air at first and hated the iPad. Now I can't stop using the Ipad and won't buy a Macbook Air. LOL.

  • @channelasatourian hey, yea i hear ya. my wife wants an MBA as well.

  • Thanks MrBit10 for adding my video response. It actually makes a great stand alone topic, which I have already talked about on my show. I realize the iPad and other tablets may not be a solution to all in a work environment, but rather as an extension or addition to a desktop PC or computer.

  • @linuxcooldude anytime my friend, much appreciated.

  • brilliant video, i've been saying the same thing recently. After getting a cheap android tablet and people around me buying android tablets and iPad and really can't see what the benefit is over a PC or Laptop.

    Sure, some games i like but its just not worth it, i'm a creative person and can't wait til Windows 8 comes along so i can find a tablet that's suited for use with both Touch and mouse and keyboard. That's the machine I want.

  • P.S. loving the indentation. What areas or which languages do you specialise in?

  • Maybe it is far off but what do you think about using software like Kinects's motion tracking as an input device for desktops? I'm not up2date on the technology but I guess the resource limitations for those inputs must have been mostly overcome to be able to release as a functional gaming device (degree of functionality and precision is not known to me).

    Possibility for awesome gestures involving both hands and all digits allowing for complexity and a standard for gestures as you mentioned

  • if your going to carry around an ipad you may as well carry around a small laptop and be able to type properly and sit it on a bench and use it comfortably

  • Another great vid. I almost forgot about the luring currency crisis ( ;

    Being very happy with my MBP for horizontal operations I'm holding back from getting an iPad. I do have an iPhone for relief on iOS experience though.

  • If you look at Windows 8, Microsoft is fully pushing touch on the Desktop. The touch UI comes to the desktop!

  • cant be more agreed with you dude, keep up the good videos coming
