i love this scene! kaoru crying made me cry. and personally i prefer kaoru over tomoe. never did like tomoe much, sorry... can't decide on who should've been you know, his soul mate though, as much as i like kaoru...
They played this in the last episode of the Wandering Samurai series.. you know, at the very end of the Shishio arc when Kenshin is back home and reflecting on what happened to everyone and how happy he is to be home. :) I don't remember what episode number that is, though.
When I went to Kyoto from TOKYO to take a examination for entrance of KYOTO university, I heard this on the radio in the hotel. Then I was impressed. AS if I WAS kenshin !
