simple stirling hot air engine made at home with simple tools ,2 cans a baloon welding rod steel angle grinder disc for flywheel ,steel wool for displacer and some electrical connectors ,fishing line

  • Quite good. I also built a coke can stirling engine for a school project some 5 years ago. Mine had the power piston (or baloon) sticking out from the side instead of above the displacer like yours. That way you free up the top of the displacer cylinder, so you can put cold water on the top and get a temporary small boost in rpm until the water gets warm. Actually I used beer cans - and it smelled of burning beer every time I ran it :)
