The Midshipmen group together right before running out on the field. (Sorry, some lag stuff at the beginning and end that I can't get rid of because I haven't an editing program.)

  • Congrats to Navy for beating Notre Dame! What a team effort! Navy just wouldn't quit and believed they were going to win the whole time. Paul Johnson is an all-time great coach, and there is no coach in College Football History who is a better example of doing "more with less" than Johnson. Amen?

  • They really did deserve to win. Too often, Notre Dame just gives up near the end and that's one of the most annoying parts about watching them play.

Also, Charlie Weis' flagrant disregard for what Navy accomplished is inconceivable.

  • Great job! Wow! Could the 2007-2008 school year be the year where Navy ends two huge losing streaks against a rival in two different sports? That is, against Notre Dame in football after 43 seasons and against Hopkins in lacrosse after close to 40 seasons. So far, Navy is halfway there! Wouldn't it be awesome and almost historic in the history of college sports if it happened?

  • I just talked to a fellow Navy fan, and what he told me leads me to believe even more that Paul Johnson will remain at Navy forever. This fan said that, no matter how much money other schools offer him(even more than 3 million a year), Navy will offer him at least a matching amount. They love him that much! And, in addition, with Paul Johnson's no-nonsense style of coaching, he would much rather coach Navy players than thugs who like to showboat, taunt, do drugs, and commit crimes. Who agrees?
