I also think that the Strat is a perfectly good guitar for playing the Ramones. In the early days of the Ramones, Johnny himself would use a Strat to play slow songs like 'I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend' and 'Here Today, Gone Tomorrow.' Not to mention that the Mosrite Ventures Model was Mosrite's attempt to create a Strat-like guitar.
