Leaving You by John Sercu
Composers Comments:
"As I mentioned before I wrote this song for my girlfriend, who was 19 at the time..
Unfortunately we had a quarrel one evening. She left and 15 minutes later unfortunatly she took her own life.
Of course her motivations did certainly not only involve me, but it was a big disillusion for myself being just 16 years old and having my first girlfriend. The road to making my peace with it and accepting it was long, difficult and hard. But getting older I tried to convince myself that even if I wanted to, I could have done nothing to prevent her from doing sooner or later what she had planned.
I soon realized there was nothing I could do to bring her back to say I was sorry. So I did the only thing for her I was good at in those days. And that was playing the piano and writing her a second song. Unfortunatly she never lived long enough to hear it.
Hope you enjoy this (very sad) song."

Hi friend... I really can't express enough what great job you guys have done here. The video relates so much to the reason why I wrote this song. The first time I watched it I was too surprised and amazed to realise what I was watching cause I've found this video by coincidence. Then I watched it a second time and then, while watching, remembering my first girlfriend and the way I lost her way back in that summer of 1990... well I cried. A thousand thx for making this video of my song.
