Thanks! Give it a shot... The swimming and biking does take a lot of practice and fine tuning. Especially, in open water conditions and on a difficult terrain for the bike.

Thanks so much! I am glad I enjoyed it enough to smile and take it all in at times during the race... Most of the smiles came after the swim part, because the swim was a beast! After that, my body was able to catch a breather and I could actually see where I was going, which was nice :)

Can you imagine being out on the course struggling and seeing a guy juggling pass by you? Not sure if that would more more motivational or just beat you down a little more, lol.

Yeah, I had to be mindful of that and be respectful of others when passing other participants for that very reason. You don't want to offend people, and you never know how others will react. I was out there competing against one person: myself. I approached the race that way, and was tactful and polite as I could be. But, in the end, you can't control people's perceptions, no matter what you do :) Just gotta stay true to your own intentions. :)
