"TV3, come HOME to the feeling, come HOME to the feeling, only on 3, TV3". Innocent times, indeed. Within months of the debut of New Zealand's 3rd tv channel, they went bankrupt and were bought by Canadians. Were these commercials the reason? Scientists are still researching the "Melody Rules" factor.

  • I have a t shirt with that Logo

  • Sounds very much like "Come Home To The Best on NBC" from 1988/1989 in the US

  • TV3 were much better back then, when they were rubbish. , Embarrassingly bad Kiwi sitcoms (The Semisis, Melody Rules etc), quasi-pornographic late news bulletins, an acid casualty puppet rooster, etc. These days, 3 is pretty much what One always has been...a propaganda outlet for the National Party. The craven fawning over, and selective reportage about, the blatantly false and smarmy John Key that they indulge in is funnier than any comedy they might show...so much for 'free' media, eh? :)

  • @elliottsmi If you were to bust DVDs of it out, check out Russel Rooster's house lol

  • I prefer that logo to any of the TV3 logos to come later

  • Two words: Melody Rules. To have made and shown the worst TV sitcom of all time is a truly global achievement.

  • @flyen84 TVONE and TV2 rule the television world !!!!

  • tv3 has the lowest raited shows now TONE and TV2 rule the television world!!!!!!!!

  • @flyen84 Outrageous Fortune is finished So People Wont be watching if there was another season

  • Outrageous Fortune is on three, i think most of NZ is tuned in to watch that on a tuesday evening .... Anything is better then TV1!
