The planter can be used as either a disc or tyne machine and has a built in hydraulic stump jump mechanism that allows the parallelogram unit to be used as a conventional field cultivato Stump Jump"r. The multipurpose planter/cultivator is adaptable to all soil types and conditions. In northern NSW disc planters do a very good job when the rich black soil is dry on top and not too stick but when it rains during seeding, many disc openers cannot handle the combination of No-Till residue and wet black mud. In these conditions a tyne planter will do a better job. The Moisture Manager Planter can have either a disc or a tyne fitted, both without the need of any spanners. The Planter can seed from the shallow depth of 12mm up to a moisture seeking depth of 200mm, from the finest lucerne seed to the larger chick pea seed.
