Well done. Thanks for the info. I'm using a Sony video camera connected to a MAC with some software called "iStopMotion" which does timeleapse.

@Talalay Do a search on "Time Lapse Device" and you will see my video of a device that gives any digital camera time lapse capability. If you are interested contact me. I have a production model almost ready for sale and it is a lot less than buying a new camera.

Thanks for this helpful video - I have been trying to get a camera with Time lapse for a while and judging by the looks on the faces of every store assistant I asked - you'd have thought I was asking for a camera that could fly me to the moon and back!

My sony dcr-try 900 has a time lapse feature but the picture is pretty crap.

In 'still mode' or to miniDV? My JVC gr-x5 has an interval timer in still mode that goes down to 15 seconds per frame but like you say the quality is not up there. Bottom line is that it's still a 'video native' CMOS 'low resolution' sensor that is being interpolated.
