@Blarghonius Really??? So this sarcastic response is all you took away from this teaching. Sad. How about respectfully disagreeing and then also having something to say about all the other things Washer said about the atonement made by the 1 U profess as Lord? Do U understand that Christ is the second person of the Godhead, His purpose in coming.everything about His death was predestined Acts 4:27, His teaching on His death, the last supper, etc. U honestly believe He was trying to back out?

@Blarghonius Washer's point was that IN THIS CONTEXT,God's wrath was the cup He feared. If U think Christ was trying 2get out of having 2 die, U neither understand who He is, purpose 4 which He came,nor the 2 natures of Christ. Whether as Washer states "fear of God's wrath" or it was a prayer showing/ proving that there was no other way, or both (There is some debate on this),Christ was not asking if some1 else could do it for Him. Who else could be perfect Lamb,both perfect man&perfect God?
