Normally I would have Barrett overpowered here 'cause I normally use him for my active party, but not this time.

Make sure he is in back row, he does have ranged weapons, this fight can't be any easier.

Right Arms can be stolen from Bombs when you're running across the bridge to Corel Town, there's a HUUUGE bridge there filled with Bombs, just steal Right Arms and plenty, they're highly usefull!

About the PS3 remake I wouldn't count on it, I believed it myself as well but apparently the rumours were false or Square decided to scrap it.
