Electric cars wouldn't bring freedom from global warming . lol
Cars are mainly responsible for CO2 emission in cities. Cars are responsible for CO2 emission but it's really only 9.9% of the total that humans produce (agriculture produces about 13.5% :) ).

everything is scifi before it hits the market and becomes solid reality .. air planes, advanced medicine, computers and so on .. although not every scifi dream makes reality (anyone remember cold fusion) so in the mean time .. lets just treat it like that .. its scifi and company hype .. in other words shameless lies and exagurations in the benefit of those making the claims

I believe that, with the backing of the Federal Government (and hopefully GM, who is developing the Chevy Volt), we will be able to overcome the oil companys' monopoly.
