First Floor Wall Framing - Building My House Real Cheap

I'm building my own home with my own hands and some help with labor. I'm the general contractor, otherwise known as an owner builder. I'm putting together a collection of videos and information documenting my experience so other somewhat handy folks out there might find the confidence to build their own home and save a bunch of money.

In this video you can see my first floor framing that is nearing completion. The walls are 2x6's and are 9' tall on the first floor, 8' on the second floor. I have done all of the work thus far and plan to do as much as I can to save the most money I possibly can.

My father was in construction and ever since I was a little girl dreamed of building my own house...hubby isnt really a handy man but am determined to buy about 10 to 20 acres and having us build our own home...cannot wait to get to that point : ) There is just so much pride that goes into building your own home!

It looks great, I'am adding a small addition on the back of my house and just taking my time on it,($),,. I've got the Floor system done and got it covered in plastic waiting on lumber for the walls and roof. Your house looks like its coming along real well, Good luck with it and take care,Rob
