"Suo Gan" is a Welsh lullaby. I did the video arrangement using still pictures with Vegas Video Pro lighting effects which gives the still photos life. The musical arrangement is by Mack Wilberg; the musical performance is by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This is for anyone that recognizes the innocence and beauty of children.

  • Well sung - but the lyrics are nothing less than AWFUL!! They don't scan with the tune.

Tiny hand reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - lease my finger //

Weary head reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - ceive repose.

    Dreadful.

Eeeeeeasy there Zigggggggggy. Dang, this is fun. Does somebody neeeeed a hug rhetorically speaking. You said, "nothing less than AWFUL" but I assume you mean "something less than AWFUL" or just plain "is less than AWFUL" since “nothing” can’t be less, but “something” can and I assume you want the deeper cut. So Ziggggy, while the lyrics may not line up with where you want them, they are exxxactly where I want them. Sorry, have a nice daaaaay...this is fun.

  • Just absolutly Amazing!

  • Incredibly uplifting. Mack Wilberg's arrangement and this performance by choir and orchestra just melt the heart. I agree, a spectacular offering of pictures with the music. Quit fighting back the tears on the 3rd listen/viewing. Such beauty!

  • Being half Welsh, I just love this. I even play the tune on the Pipes: at Guildford Cathedral, on one occasion. Wonderful video - thanks for sharing !

  • @RhiC89

I know - I've sung it many times myself!

There is a difference between translation and transliteration - sometimes the original text has to be sacrificed for a song translation to scan well.

In Welsh, it makes perfect sense and scans perfectly!

  • @ziggydamaestro I'll agree with you on the singing, it is beautiful.

Being from Wales and a welsh speaker myself, I can tell you that this song is meant to be sung in welsh. The english translation isn't exact, but it has to make sense when sung. This is why some of the lyrics, as you put it, sound awful. It's not the choir's fault that they have to stretch out some of the vowels because if you heard the welsh version, it would make sense.

  • @mepmug01 Thank you Mannes, i send you brotherly Love back.

Correction No3: the Actors Name ist

CHRISTIAN BALE, not Michael Bale in Empire of the Sun.

    Your Brother Mannes.

  • I listen to this when reading scriptures, praying, and even going to sleep. Simply beautiful, so beautiful in fact, sometimes I cry x)

My favorite song, ever. No heavy metal/rock/pop comes above the MTC. <3

Amazing composition. And, my most loving missionary, Sister Jacobson, let me borrow her CD. So it makes me feel like shes with me. (Love you, I miss you).
