harvey weinstein didnt want her to split votes with penelope cruz or dianne krug ("inglorious basterds") so he placed both marion cotillard and melanie laurent in lead.

@ThePhantom135 She was campaigned in Lead, while her role is a supporting one in the film. Which is a shame, because she gave a truly remarkable performance and deserved the nomination.

Marion's hair irritated me the first time I watched this. She's so beautiful, she doesn't need to be covered by bangs! I also thought "My Husband Makes Movies" was an awkward song and now it's allllllllways stuck in my head. "Take It All" is brilliant.
