This is a Wood Whisperer first: a series featuring an aspiring luthier, Rick Urschel. Rick takes us through the process of building a classic guitar from a kit available at LMII.com.

This is Ricks first attempt at a guitar, and as such, I am not presenting this as a how-to. Instead, this is just one mans experience as he works his butt off making a beautiful guitar for his wife. I think you are really going to enjoy it. A special thanks to Rick for allowing me to Whisperize his content!

  • Looks a bit like the "How its made" tv-shows....nice to watch but missing loads of information if someone is looking for instructions and guidance...

  • @TheWoodWhisperer

Check out the videos by Smileythejazzcat if you wanna know how to make an awesome stave shell snare drum. It's not a difficult as you might think!

  • @SALMONKO ---no truss rod on a classical.

  • i kind of agree that 1/4sawn can be boring because flatsawn shows more character

  • Where is the slot and truss rod? Dude you missed it... Should be in before you assemble the body and headstock laminate...

  • love the spindle sander lol human ingenuity can be amazing sometimes
