So sad. Yet Joan is so insanely beautiful in this scene. Here she is humiliated and defeated, singing and playing so flirty and alluringly, then with a single look at her husband you see her sad dead eyes.

I agree with everything except for the last statement. She deserves so much more than Roger who only saw her as "the best piece of ass" he's ever had

You're right. Joan's a smokin' chick, but she, like most of the other characters, has more than a few faults. Unfortunately for her, her plan to marry in to what she perceived to be "class" totally backfired with that doctor. Or....wannabe doctor.
