@avenged7fold332 NASCAR is not football. It's not supposed to happen in NASCAR. DOn't compare NASCAR to football, because Brian France tried and failed.

@avenged7fold332 wayy late on this post, but you proved your point invalid, undefeated and they MADE it to the superbowl. Unlike nascar you could win all but 10 win. Superbowl is the game where the highest of both divisions face off....

@avenged7fold332 you cant really compare NFL to nascar though. That, in my opinon, is one reason why nascar is strugglling. Their trying to hard to compete with the NFL

jesus people stop comparing jimmie's championships with what he might've had under the old system. it's the OLD system because they don't use it anymore! who are you people to say what he would or wouldn't have done if they never went to the chase format?

The Chase is a handicap system, pretty bad when you could win 26/36 races and still lose the championship. There needs to be another system! NASCAR is making a mockery of itself by allowing this circus show they call their playoffs continue. Have NASCAR get an F1 type of system!

It can happen in any sport. Look at the Patriots last year. Undefeated until the Super Bowl, then they got owned. It happens.
