Jennifer Muller/The Works "Flowers"

Flowers, is a collaboration with noted photographer Barbara Bordnick. Impressionistic in nature, the dance echoes the widely divergent moods of Ms. Bordnicks extraordinary photographs that are projected on a scrim in front of the stage. The virtuostic movement of the dancers is seen through the flower images. The dance, constructed in five sections to reflect the Chinese calendar, captures the spirit of Ms. Bordnicks work as the flowers represented become symbols of growth, delicacy, sensuality, and fleeting beauty. The dance has original music by Lawrence Nachsin.
