We restored this beauty in September 2011. This is an amazing Amplifier if you have sensitive 30W speakers or ones that are horn-loaded. We replaced all the electrolytic caps with Nichicon Audio and MUSE caps. The Power supply caps were also replaced. All the trimmers were replaced with milti-turn high precision trimmers. All front panel controls were also cleaned out and a new set of Fuses put in. The units sounds very very good on our Mission speakers. Notice the gold-legged Hitachi signal transistors used in this amplifier. These are ultra low noise transistors that were produced in an era long gone. Definitely a Amplifier worth preserving for the generations to come.

  • I wish I knew how to fix my AU-317 like you did this unit.

    Nice job.
