Janet Velenovsky, Behavior and Training Education Specialist for Premier Pet Products, works with the owner of a frisky boxer. The owner had previously used other methods to try and curb pulling on leash. With Janet's help, she learns the proper techniques for using the Easy Walk Harness, and becomes convinced that it will be a successful solution for her and her dog.

  • @Caninefan999 Why does everyone these days believe they're dog experts because they've watched a few t.v. shows?

  • @Caninefan999 Because old school dog training methods have been out ruled for quite a while, and it makes the dog a ticking time bomb, afraid of everything.

  • I have a 140 lb American Bulldog and I would never use a prong collar! He uses the Extra Large size. With this harness he walks on a loose lead with absolutely no problem. He pulled only once when I first put the harness on and has never even tried again. It was so easy to train him not to pull with the harness. With a collar, he would pull me over, considering he outweighs me by 30 lbs!

  • i bought the Easy Walk Harness for my 2 year old dog the other day..... from the moment we put it on, i saw a complete change in her behavior..... She walks with me like a SHOW DOG now (note: i have trained her extensively in proper HEALING behavior, and so the harness was the missing ingredient)..... This system really does work - it's like a MIRACLE

  • @Caninefan999 It's nothing fancy, just a front clip harness. You should NEVER pull on your dog's neck.. Never use any sort of training device on the neck like that as it can and will cause irreversible damage. I work for a pet health food/supply store and I'd say there is roughly a 95% success rate with these harnesses(Most customers claim they have tried just about everything: Check/choke, prong martingale collars included.. also, they're more comfy than the haltis.). No touch/jerk involved!

  • Hi

Does any know if this harness is ok to use on a 5mth old puppy. I have a border collie who at the moment pulls on the lead, however i cant address that at the moment with training as i am still trying to get him to walk past cars without him lying down or sitting when they pass! Then he pulls like mad especially when we approach home!! If anyone has any tips i would be truely grateful!!

  • I have an Australian Shepherd. I know they require lots of exercise, but taking him out was always a nightmare. He's well-behaved in the house, but outside, the dog is a terror. I've tried the whole "don't move until he turns to look at you" and the "direction change" method, but it seemed to be a hopeless case. Today I bought this item at Petsmart, and I used it for the first time tonight. No pulling! I He was so much easier to work with! I'll have him leash-trained in no time.

  • Does this lady even know how to walk a dog?

  • This REALLY does work..I bought one beciuse my Border Collie pulled & pulled..NOT any more..GREAT investment!

  • Two weeks ago I adopted an 8 month old boxer. She has very little training and is HORRENDOUS on the leash. I immediately enrolled her in training class and by week 2 it was clear that we needed an intervention. A walk around the block with her classmates was painful. She is so much stronger than my Rottweiler who was twice her size. We put the harness on her and like magic the pulling stopped instantly! She didn't even try to pull. Now we can concentrate on training instead of restraining
