Frank Zappa asked the 16 year old Sandy Hurvitz to join the Mothers and named her "Uncle Meat." Frank signed her to his production company Bizarre and released her first album, SANDY'S ALBUM IS HERE AT LAST on Verve/Bizarre soon after.
Today she is wellknown as a singer & songwriter under the name Essra Mohawk
