awseome, thanks.. had a `96 model the dark green one, with Hindle and dyno jet kit, it made an extra 12hp at the wheels. With mirrors folded back top speed run on the Nullarbor Plain, early in the morning with slight tail wind. I could only guess a top speed, but hit 11000rpm in top gear.I haven`t hear anything that sounds as good as that Hindle did. Awesome bike, just a bit heavy. I get goose bumps now thinking about it.

@FatRedneckTerrorist The blackbird is faster, and more modern. Unfortunately though, your point isn't valid, as the Blackbird came out after the zzr. The zzr was once the worlds fastest production bike; prior to the Blackbirds era

@Pellezzr I agree mate. This guy is seriously mistaken and you are spot on. The ZZR1100 was introduced in 1990 and took the world by storm and remained the fasted production bike for several years, then Honda came up with the Blackbird in 1996, although it was fastest bike on the road at that time, it wasn't that much faster than the ZZR. The Balckbird was 164bhp and the ZZR was 147bhp, not a huge difference though. So Honda got the idea from Kawasaki. I'd have a ZZR1100 anyday and have the 600.

@FatRedneckTerrorist ??? Dude, the ZZR1100 predates the Blackbird so how can it be trying to copy it? Bang for buck the ZZR1100 is still the best all-round intercontinental ballistic missile money can buy, great looking bike, and a pleasure to ride.
