Starts with the closing credits to 'Dad's Army' followed by a slate mentioning that it was show as a tribute to John Le Mesurier and replaced 'Taxi'.

Following this is a Radio 2 slide with a mention of a new comedy series 'It Sticks Out Half a Mile', John Le Mesurier's last one for radio.

Next is a promo for 'Doctor Who - The Five Doctors', a special 20th anniversary edition.

Finally, over the blue and green globe, there's an introduction to 'The Last of the Summer Wine' with subtitles on Ceefax page 170.

  • What was the name episode of Last of the Summer Wine that was shown here?

  • I'll see if I can find it

  • Oh doo doo, ive just realised. You meant a promo for that special Dr Who episode, I thought you meant an introduction to that episode.

BTW, that globe is generally referred to, among pres fans like meself as the "blue and green" one. it only appears yellow because of the age of the videotape you are playing here.

  • Thanks for the comments. I could also be that I'm a bit colour blind! Anyway, will update.
