I have just bought a bassman 100 1973, could U tell me what tubes are in it and what they are used for in general please, looks like it has 4 6l6 tubes, and 3 other tubes ? mine is the one with middle and master volume

@1Doz tru, the 50's did not have them, my mistake. i don't mind the absence of it on my 68 head either, i do prefer the bass/studio channel on my bassman 10 tho,(it has a mid control)

True about the Bassman 100 and 135 having a mid control. But I dont' think the Bassman 50 ever did.
Even so, one thing you can do to a Bassman without a mid control is make one of the pots a push-pull pot. Then you can select between two mid presets, which is usually enough flexibility.
And to be honest, I never really miss not having a mid control. I tuned the fixed mid resistor value to where I liked it and now it's one less control to have to worry about.

the later bassman 50's 100's and 135's as well as the bassman ten series all had an added middle control to the second channel

Bassman has a much bigger output transformer. I think you get a middle control with the Bandmaster though, which is nice. Bassman only has vol treb bass.

Nice vdeo! Im trying to decide between one of these or a Bandmaster so im doing a lot of research.
you should have 4 power tubes and 4 pre-amp tubes, its generally rather easy to find information about the bassmans becuz they are such a simple amp.
