View Min-Woo Bang's beautiful artwork at Gallery One from 9th - 23rd July 2011.
Nature, mist, aura and atmosphere are key elements in Min-Woo Bang's works as well as his contemplation of life and existence which is represented within the layers and brushstrokes of his canvases.
He transforms each canvas into a visual concept of time and memory by smudging images of trees and enveloping them in a fine mist and subtle light.
"When I paint trees, sky or misty landscapes on canvas with layers by layers, this act of brushing transforms into an act of meditation. In this way I am trying to feel the nature h which I am experiencing"
Min-Woo Bang was born in Seoul, Korea and migrated to Australia in 1990.
In 2010 he was a finalist in the Wynne Prize as well as the Stan and Maureen Duke Gold Coast Art Prize.
Gallery One is proud to represent Min-Woo Bang in Queensland.
