Party Time Excellent - First Day with the 5D MK2 - NO CC

Okay ladies and gents, so upon getting my 5D on Monday me and my roomies decided to have a little celebration party! Nothing like a raging party on a Monday night, but I got to whip on the new 50mm f1.8 canon lens and do my first shoot with the MK2. First of all I didn't figure out how to use the exposure lock until the very last scene but I didn't feel like reading the manual at the time. Also everything was hand held, I need to build a rig now to give me more stability. Encoded with streamclip to H264 720p clip.

This was my first time editing anything in 3 years, and my first time with FCP. Also this is all non-colour corrected footage straight from the 5D. I will release a new version with my CC soon.

Anyways, now that i'm learning more about this little beast and have a 24-105L i'll be posting more footage as I go!

Thanks cebro! Yeah its a bit hard to keep stable with the little 50mm on there, not to mention pull focus with that cumbersome ring. I'll be posting a new version with my colour correction soon and hopefully fix the encoding issues.

Editing work was outstanding , everything along with the theme , the colors and even the handheld effect was very cohesive . Only a couple areas could have been a tad sharper , but this camera is a little hard to handle . Although extremely good for handheld
