  • Scott it looks like its coming along nicely. Im learning alongside you and aiden and seem to be improving more after watching each vid. Im mixing up the ollie practice alongside standard riding around so as to not get frustrated. Been practicing the ollies stationary on grass. Not sure if id be better practicing the ollies on concrete whats the general verdict?

  • Well I've practiced on grass but its almost impossible to get a good POP on grass. I would say the concrete is better. If your worried aout rolling around or falling out I would recommend trying thhe method like I did in this video on some old trucks if u have them with no wheels or you can attach blocks of wood the same height as trucks or you can try putting a thin board under the tail on the carpet so it will have something to pop with. But yeah..grass is tough to get height on

  • when u get your ollies better your feet should never leave the board

  • Yeah I know the illusion of the ollie is that your feet don't leave the board but even alot of pro skaters have the back foot leave the tail for a second when they pop the tail. I've watched 100's of ollie videos and most of the time the back foot leaves the board for a little bit. BUT your right that if u slide your foot right (timing) The tail will comeup and stick to the back foot as its leveled out. Thanks bro!

  • Scott use your wheels. lol.

The reaosn your getting air is because your behind your knees and lifting your feet higher.. You can do it with wheels ez to.

And when your moving and ollieing you need to jump forward lol not so much stationary but then again I never skate stationary.. cause you learn the trick then have to re larn it moving.

Scott i think you should add the wheels on and try ollieing onto a curb.. You can get that hieght just dont give up. and put it on youtube :D

  • I think I will try this on a curb with wheels next time. (With wheels of course lol)

  • dude, it wil help alot, move your back foot a bit away from the very tail i know ive said it before but the board shoots high thats why your back foot is coming off, trust me thats how i learned

  • there getting way better try them with wheels cause if u dont use wheels they dont catch if u do it without wheels to much
