* Each frequency element below 1000 Hz, and not just single tones are processed to contain the correct binaural pattern, so that the binaural beat emerges out of a wide range of frequencies simultaneously. Frequencies above 1000 Hz remain unprocessed, since binaural beats are not perceived by the brain anymore in this frequency range. Doing this allows for the binaural technique to take effect in multiple frequencies, while preserving a pleasant acoustic signature in the high-frequency range.
